Decomposition is dependent on, Moisture, Sun light and temperature
any carbon material in contact with the soil ? decomposition is dependent on Your soil Health, soil S. and N. and adequate oxygen mobilization in the soil
If I spread AMS in the fall I add 3 to 5 lbs. of Copper Sulfate also
