NW IL | About 8-9 years ago we ran a John Deere Exact Emerge planter with a John Deere 2630 controlling the planter. The tractor we used was a CIH 470 row trac running ag leader steering (incommand 1200; steercommand; 6500 RTK).
To connect everything we ran a harness from Ag express that allowed us to run a Deere implement+ monitor in a 3rd party tractor.
We sent gps from the ag leader 6500 RTK to the 2630. We sent radar ground speed from the cih tractor to the 2630 as well.
We ran the setup for 3 years. Overall it worked very wel.
I’m sure ag express still makes the harness or a version of it that would work for what you are trying to do. The cable from memory was ~$1250? But that was several years ago. I’m sure the cost has increased. . | |
