Bunker Hill, IL | I've got a 385 steiger with integrated steering. I have it set up with Ag Leader 1200, GPS 7500, and legacy Steercommand. I'm using it for an ISOBUS case air seeder and an Ag Leader Strip-Till Module.
I'm wanting to buy a new Deere air seeder, which requires a Deere monitor G4 or G5 and is not ISO.
What is going to be my best and most economical route to accomplish this? Should I switch the tractor AND the strip-till to Deere? If so what would that cost?
I also would want to use the same screen as an extended monitor in my 7210R Deere with a 4600 armrest display. That tractor also has Ag Leader steering and monitor for a SureSpeed planter, but is also unlocked for Deere steering. So in that case I'm thinking I'm best to use Deere receiver and steering, and send the GPS to the InCommand for the planter functions and use the Deere displays for steering only on the planter.
I'm not really fond of any of this change except that I'm really not happy with the Case air seeder and was very happy with the N540 we demoed in the same conditions that caused problems constantly with the Case seeder. I have gotten everything set up purely Ag Leader and really like it that way. But I also understand sometimes change is necessary to keep up with the times. | |
