Yep, another vote for a 1 inch piece of wood with the bags deflated. That's what I used.  But I have seen them much higher on some trucks.   Last fall I saw someone in line at the elevator that had the fender touching the bottom of the trailer and it wasn't damaged.  If I did that it would have been ripped off at the first turn.
