NW Ohio,near Findlay
We had trouble with that, a U joint and not all get grease. Yes we greased it regularly , but only takes one joint with maybe a little wear or the seal may be weak, and the grease will go out there and the other joints don't get the grease.
We asked a guy that worked in a driveline shop if trucks ever have this problem. He said you can add or convert the caps by drilling them and installing the small 1/4 -28 threads, into the cap. If clearance is a problem, use the needle style ones. I know it takes a little longer to grease the joint, but that solved our problem on a vertical drive shaft on a Deere scraper.
