When I worked as a Sprayer Tech many years ago now, we sold Raven products. I was never impressed with one style of Raven section valves. Yours may or may not be that style.

The Raven valves that I didn't care for used a threaded screw in/out arrangement to open/close. Their action to go from one extreme to the other (fully open/fully closed) was much slower than the KZ or TeeJet ball valves we usually sold.

I am guessing that your valves are not "fast" valves and your setting may be incorrect.

Another possibility is that you have control valves being used as ON/OFF valves. Many control valves are purposely geared down to take as much as 8 seconds to go from fully closed to fully open. This allows the system to gradually adjust the rate.

The way I have it configured now is the only way it will "work". If I configure the rate controller for standard valves, they do not open. What you are describing makes sense and I must have a some weird Spra-coupe specific valves.
