IA/MN/WI | As a consultant, I would charge $25 an acre for soil sampling, making recs, Scouting, and chem recs(granted some of that pays for the lab fees associated with soil samples). Based on all the additional duties, $150-160k or pay less and start giving him ownership in the farm. Also, if he has a family he needs benefits, a wife working with benefits, or you need to pay a bit more so he can self insure.
If I was the guy I’d be concerned about selling my soul to a farm that might get rug pulled from me when you pass away. | |
