Nothing more irritating than driving by fields in August with 5' tall waterhemp full of seed all along the field edges that easily could have been killed a couple months prior. Even worse is those weeds got a pretty good rate or at least drift from all the herbicide applications, so they are priming the pump for all the resistance that develops. Now that 43 oz. is the new standard liberty rate, my guess is that its days are numbered for completely killing emerged waterhemp, especially when it is torching the bigger water hemp to the ground and in a month there are shoots coming off the stump that look like a christmas tree of waterhemp seed. Buy a cultivator while they are still cheap. | |
