It’s my opinion we are making waterhemp more difficult than it needs to be. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got some trouble areas around the farm. You can’t take even a year off from trying to keep things perfectly clean. But to me the easiest way to keep waterhemp under control year in year out is to keep your edges clean, and it doesn’t seem to me that many guys take the time to do this. Whether it’s walking the edges with a backpack sprayer or if early enough hitting it with a 4 wheeler or side by side sprayer, it’s so much easier to keep the edges clean.
