Eastern Shore of MD
If I understand the bill correctly. MD just passed a bill that up to 5% of the land area in each county can be put in solar farms and gave the Md public service commission power to over ride any counties local zoning regulations in regards solar farms. How would that sit with you? Farmland is the easy button. There was an effort to get enough signatures to bring the bill to referendum but effort fell short as our sneaky gov signed the bill at the last minute which only allowed about a week to get the required 20k signatures. Meanwhile electric rates are going up cause we do not have enough reliable electric power to meet demand.
