If we really cared about solar in this country. Then why can’t we put them on every house / Barn / school/ factory / high way overpass corners / churches basically any building. Seems funny the majority has to be on productive crop land. Seems like a plan to idle acres to me. I understand it has some to do with proximity to transmission lines. But it also seems to have to do with the money of who’s benefiting
I will say this quietly and with tongue in cheek: I can't believe that California doesn't require each (new) house to produce enough electric (solar, wind) to be self sustaining.....
People would riot when they find out how much more it costs to produce electric with wind/solar compared to coal/hydro/nuclear. Natural gas fired electric plants would fall in between.
