southern MN | We currently are covering the entire state of Rhode Island in solar panels and produce 3% of our electricity.
We would need to cover at least the area of a Great Lake to meet the goals that are talked about.
That is a considerable land area.
Urban areas already are eye sores. We could coat them with panels. But that is mostly opposed.
‘Wildlife areas’ are so super protected they will get zero panels, whether suited for collection or not.
That kind of leaves only farm land to coat with solar panels.
I can’t say I care for such a thing myself.
It does not seem like progress.
