We have not done it for a few years, but we used to spread 500#'s of mined powdered gypsum a year over 1/3 our acres. Co-op used a fan truck to do it. We did that to help flush the salts out of the soils and lower the pH and help with soil crusting. Never considered the fertility aspect of it.
