East central Indiana
I did some this spring at a 500 pound rate with a bbi magnaspread in front of soybeans. I did not have any trouble till last load and got damp dirt mixed in off the ground and had to open gate up more to keep it from bridging up at door. I had gate open around 4 inches to get 500 pound rate. Here is pic below of 500 pound rate on ground and I left some check strips for a difference this year and will weigh them this fall. I had 10.75 an acre for gypsum at 500 pound rate. I have a few other sources that should get it down to 5 to 7 a acre for 500 pound rate. The gypsum I got was very pastie and you could pack baseball size balls easily I do not know if this is normal.
