Do as you like as the Kinze should be fine but as far as fertilizer is concerned my departed father often said "A coulter belongs on a plow not on a corn planter". These were observations he made after working with our heavy soils for many years. He felt a coulter disrupted the nice seed bed we were attempting to create.
JD 1760 12 row planter. Any concerns?
