south east SD | We had one from 2001 to 2012 and ours was a non flex frame and never felt a need for a flex frame.
All we had was one set of corn plates and one set of bean plates.
We put on liquid 10-34-0 with so the tanks were on the frame with it ran by a Demco thumper pump. It pumped the fertilizer to stainless steel tubes behind the seed tube so shoot it into the seed furrow. Nothing to wear out and very tough.
I thought it was a great planter and you can add all the bells and whistles you want.
Again I would buy a rigid frame before a flex frame.
It will be quite a improvement over a 7000.
