Now is ripping really helping or just moving the water out of sight and out of mind?
I have a puddle on the end of a good field that is my fault and ripping would just hide it. It needs tiled and probably more lime.
I can't imagine soil being dry enough this spring to rip.
I see rip as a fall tool and even that didn't happen last fall, just lucky to get the crop out when some didn't.
