gostate - 11/29/2024 22:37 Looks like fairly new trucks with autoshift have gotten reasonable priced. My old truck has 3.90 gears. I love that low gear for farming. Is it possible to find a automatic truck with low gears? A 3.73 or 3.90 would be nice. Rear end ratio is completely irrelevant without knowing exactly what transmission it has and what ratios it has. You need to look at the spec sheets for the transmission and do the math with the rear end ratio. I have owned trucks with 2.64 rear end ratios that had a lower overall 1st gear ratio than my truck that had 3.70 rears.
