Are you sure it got hot. Could it be hard starting and using oil because of another reason? It might be something simple that is getting overlooked. Maybe adjusting valves, checking compression, and a new set of injectors would help. Does it have alot of blowby, more than it used to? Don't want to mis-diagnose if it is something simple.
What to do with this 55 Series JD engine? Got hot.
