Upon further inspection, due to some liberties taken when wiring up the connector, my pins were correct, but the Deutsch connector was plugged in backwards, causing pins 2 and 7 not to be lined up. Spun it around, and we're cooking with fire now.
Yes, the versions were correct. And yes, they are ancient. Dated 2010.
