Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I'm not certain what version of firmware I'm using. I thought that the idea of working with a switch was part of the coverage mapping setup. The coverage map can be set to paint based on auto steer (way mine is) or SWITCH. When set to switch, one installs a SPST (not a momentary) across a couple of pins in the Port A connector on the rear of the 750 itself. This requires going into the menu setup and informing the 750 you wish it paint based on SWITCH. This can use an actual manual switch, a lift switch or a relay triggered by another electronic device.
The momentary switch to engage steering is different and is connected to the harness leading to the Nav II. You could have one or the other or both, I don't recall a menu setup for the steering engage switch but I could be wrong.
Updating the firmware is likely a good first step anyway. |
