Subject: RE: Mice in Machine Shed/Shop Mice

I put some mice bait chunks in 2 inch hose around the outside of the shed. It helps.
One shed I sat the bait bucket down and came back in a few days and it was empty. Done that more than once.
Dad put a metal trap they go into and can't get out in there. No bait. I think he said he caught 19 overnight. All dead in the container. From the size of the container I am sure it was full and perhaps they ran out of oxygen.
FYI, I have feral cats. I think they leave the mice in the shed for when it gets cold in the winter. I do not put poison out in that shed as I don't want to bother the cats.
I have seen them sit and look at a mouse when it is warm out. When the snow gets deep they move into the shed and don't come out. By spring one never sees any mice in there.
