Subject: Tell me about leveraging puts.

EC Indiana
Should have mentioned this over the weekend. Does anyone have a good weekend read or advice on selling nearby puts and buying out of the money to leverage up against old crop? I have 100 percent of old corn, color me dumb. Just wondering if leveraged puts fit here. ...I know, should have asked yesterday! Thanks for any thoughts. I think the notion was sell one at the money and buy 5 out of the money for a compounding gain for a ~ 6 cent debit. Hold cash and squeeze basis. Roll forward as needed. If true should have done this last night against corn in bin. Small farmer here, I still want a good answer. Thanks sincerely, Spencer
