Delaware | Contemplating starting to spread our own lime/fertilizer/random dry products. Thinking a pull-type would work best because we can't keep a self-propelled machine busy all the time, and our tractors aren't overworked.
Started looking, and wow, there are a lot of brands and options. I know I want a stainless steel body, but as far as chain/belt type (some are the stainless interlocking link type), what's the best option for what we are doing?
Capacity, brand, etc. just looking for advice. From what I can see from our soil sampling variable rate will be a must. But I don't know enough of why some machines are for sale for $35K and would the $100K pull type spreader be that much better?
Most likely looking at used, as we aren't big enough to really justify a new machine in my opinion. | |
