| Have a group of 10 heifers, AI'd on mothers day weekend of last year so due approx Feb 15. We put the bull in 21 days later to assure he could clean them up if they didn't stick.
First calf came 4 days early 54 lbs
Second calf 9 days late (needed to be pulled) 82 lbs
4 more look like they could cough and calf would be looking at me.
Is it normal for them to hang on this long?
This is my first group of heifers to calve out home raised and bred. I've calved out a herd of 40 head of cows for over 15 years but have never had heifers to this extent.
As always willing to learn and do whatever I can.
