Subject: Ever had a house faucet hose fail like this?

Wife was in house after lunch and heard noise then running water and water was running out from kitchen cabinets under sink Got water shut off, big mess cleaned up and found that it was hot water hose on faucet where it attaches to copper line going to basement. Not frozen, only water being used at the time was washer and it was cold water. Good thing she was home at time or we would have had huge issues.

It is not the stainless braided line but some type of braided plastic or something. It’s not a high dollar faucet but is only a couple years old. Have to replace faucet now as line is not replaceable.
