Monticello ky | What would you guys give for a registered replacement heifer. Nothing extraordinary but certainly a well deserving heifer? I’ve been looking at some 4-5 weight heifers to go with some I’m keeping and I’ve just been floored. One guy asked $1500 another asked $1650 for some 5-6 weight heifers. If they weighed 600lbs that makes them $2.75 a pound. Below is the local market report. $1.20 kill em all day long and since we’re talking red hided I’m gonna say $1.00 would dang near buy em. Am I just cheap, or what. That dang heifer be dead before she’s paid for.
