Subject: Grain hauling after dark cost me my best girl, my 1086 girl

Long story short, volunteer helpers (haulers)(not their fault either, just happenstance) and after dark hauling, (making the obvious signs, hard to read) left my old 1086 'best girl' with out a beating heart. Question is-- where is the 'best' most reasonable, 'good' place to find a donor motor that would get this girl the most dollars back for it in the resale auction ring. Just seems a shame to park it without trying a new life for her. Spent a ton on her 10 years ago in the tranny. (more than I paid for her many years ago).

And HOW do you make sure the new motor is sound and 'good' before installing?? --d--
