436 DT? Ought to be able to find one close. Did it destroy the block and crank? Head any good?

Looks like a combine is a good place to find one.

I would want to hear it run and make my own assessment after interviewing all the parties that be that I can find regarding that particular machine.

I would think you could get a good one for $3000 or less.  I found a running 1655 diesel, bought it for $1600 at auction since the tractor was rough and run it two years, now it needs an overhaul.  Sold the parts for as much as I paid for it.
