N.W. Ohio | Calmer does his own on farm research studies and the dry fertilizer study has me thinking. He has been applying P&K for 10 years, he spreads 60’ and leaves 60’ with nothing. He does admit where he spreads the crops look better and do yield better but at the end of the day it just doesn’t pay. He claims his biggest return on investment is nitrogen.
I soil sample and apply according to what it calls for, I do believe in building my soils and keeping them maintained at optimal levels but this study has got me second guessing myself.
Have any of you guys seen similar results on your farm?
