| I have been looking at my top shaft on my 4020 and it appears that when the local shop that did it 8 years ago they didn’t put the upgraded 30 40 series style synchro style disk in the top shaft. They just replaced what was broke and put back the original design off of the original schematic for the early model 4020, however I do have a two new top shifters, the reverse shifter is the same part number from original, but the front high and low shifter is the upgraded shifter which is on the 30 40 series tractor with the spacer and bolt over it. My question is, can their be an issue with a newer style front shifter being put on an older / original setup synchro drums and disks. Will that cause problems. Because if it don’t I’m gonna go back with original design parts with having the newer shifter on top just like how it is. | |
