North Central MO | I was, at one time, able to DISable win 10 home updates from the services>windows update menu by stopping the service then disabling the service.
At some point a change was surely implemented that allows the OS to reset this on its own and ...... bingo .... Bill and his merry band of "I know what you need, you don't" programmer's are silently blowing through my data allowance again. Is there anyway for me to fully stop update downloads until a time of my choosing?
Background. My only source of data , at home, is expensive. Several computers can sure blow up my monthly allowance when updates are allowed to run unrestrained. Typically I run updates at another location .... that is .... if I'm allowed to control them. Yes I have all the other options I'm aware of checked like metered bandwidth etc ........
