Subject: Field IQ rate above target

Paxton, IL
Running a fm1000 with a field IQ setup for rate and section control in a Case IH patriot 3150 sprayer. It’s a Raven replacement system where the field iq harness just hooks into all the existing raven parts. There are 6 boom sections across the 90’ boom.

I’ve been running this setup for several years. The first few years I would get a message saying the rate is above target when the section control gets down to only 1 section on for more than a few seconds. I thought that it was interesting that it couldn’t close the flow down enough to get the correct rate, but it didn’t happen that often and I could live with it.

Now a few years later, it seems to have changed. I’m getting the same message and rate is a couple gallons per acre too high but now even when I still have half the boom on. This is with a target 12 GPA running at 10 mph.

Is there something to look at in the settings? Or could it be that my valve is getting worn or something else?
