Newfane NY | Planted a few bags of Pioneer corn for the first time in 10 years or so. Got a discount for a "new customer". This year I only get the "Sophomore" discount because I am a customer and not a "new customer" Sort of like the DirecTV of seed corn....ugh...
I also planted very little of Doebler's for the last two years. Local dealer is a farmer and recommended a couple of varieties to me. They did very well in the test plot and in the field. I get a bigger discount because I am a repeat customer if I order some this year....:)
Waiting for the Doebler's price to determine the final placing of the 3 companies I buy from for my test plot profitability results.
