Subject: Broadband and the Internet

The Green Hills of Missouri
I currently have a ISP that cannot provide me with consistent 5G (what I'm paying for) service, and very poor customer service.

There other providers in the area but my consern is if they all bounce there signal from the same main tower to me will the next supplier be any different.

I am wondering how the infastructure for a ISP is? Are they getting the signal from Fiber or a bird in the sky, buying it from whoever and sending it to me via there equipment on the coop leg?

I had to call four times last week leaving voice mail before finally talking to a live person. They set up a Friday 2:00 appointment to come out, nobody showed, they Saturday at 1:00 I get a text that they are at my yard. Before this I had no Internet. Well SHAZAM tech goes to www.speedtest.net and I have better than 5G speed, an hour after he leaves back to no service!

I am a ten year customer of this ISP, and it's been a battle the whole way.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
