Subject: Vertical tillage Vs. Disk with rolling baskets

s.w. ohio
Been thinking and looking. Would like to work wheat stubble (straw is not always baled) and double crop bean stubble down in the fall that will be going into corn the following year. We are no-till and have had problems in the past with corn emergence through the straw mat and also trouble getting the field to dry down due to the straw. Found a Landoll 7410-14 used but in very good shape but got to thinking, would I be money ahead to get say a 18 foot John Deere 637 disk on 7 1/4 spacing for less than half the cost for the Landoll and add or pull rolling baskets behind it. Would like to be able to work it in the fall and plant in the spring without going over it again. Would use a 4650 Deere 2wd have duels for it if needed. TIA
