Subject: Vertical tillage vs covers in heavy rain events.

Going to church today after heavy rains Friday night and Saturday morning and seeing what happens to ground that has even slight grade. Lot of vertical tools running around here. Seen several fields that don't have much slope that cornstalks and soil moved, some places a lot. I also know and see no-till fields, mine included, that wash pretty badly. In my no-till fields, most problems are just in the runoff areas. VT fields can have so much more. My fields that I have gotten covers on, just nothing. We are having these big rain events. Somehow, someway, I've got to get my fields covered, plus spraying this spring, way less weeds than the non-covered ones.
