Subject: Engine oil question

The black sand beaches of Jamaica, IL
Getting ready to change the motor oil in a Kubota m126x and read in the manual that it calls for a ci-4 oil and not to use cj-4. Of course my bulk oil is jd plus 50 cj-4. I was wondering what the difference was and whether or not it would be a big deal to use it anyway.

The book claims it won't work with motors with external egr and is only for dpf engines. Gets me thinking I may want to switch oils in the future as the rest of the fleet are all non emissions motors and the cj4 may not be the best choice.

Your thoughts?
