| I've always been able to read, modify and write dBase files with the dbf extension using a spreadsheet program. This was actually the way I create grid/zone maps for variable rate fertilizer. I just read in the dbf file from the collection of files used for the shape format, change the amounts, write it back out being careful not to change the named range called 'database' and it works fine for Sitemate and other control programs.
But I can't do that with the Office 2007 version of Excel or with QuatroPro X3.
For now I can use an older XP machine with Office 2003 to do that one task, but that computer is old and flakey otherwise and probably won't be available much longer.
Are there any solutions for dbf editting with Vista machines? | |
