Subject: Knive rolls corn head...Jd or Case IH

It it time for me to put on new knife rolls on my JD 893 cornhead and I was wondering which roll does a better job for notill.....John Deere knife roll or Case IH new knife roll. The JD roll worked great the first year or two but it basically only leaned them over last fall. JD knife roll would cost about 450 per row while the Case IH version sold by Clarke Machine is 525 but new knives per row would be 160 next time I need to switch. I don't want to start any color wars but want a honest opinion and which roll is better. I think the JD chops more but the Case IH pulls the plants down more and leaves the stalk all near the row. Thanks for any helpful input in advance.
