| I farm with my Dad and besides row crop we have 150 cows. We calf in the spring and sell off the cow in Nov./Dec. At some point my Dad who is going to be 70 will not want to mess with the cows, my question is how do I keep the same number of cows and not need more labor. Have talked to several guys about fall calving and it seems like a solution. I would calve half in spring and other in fall. I would appreciate any and all input( for and against). I would probably start calving March 1 and August 1 and try to shoot for a 60 day season for both. | |
