Subject: Insulating concrete in shop floor

Northern IL
How cridical is it to have the floor insulated from the wall? My concrete guy has insulated the inside of the 4' wall with 2" foam, but has it 6" below the finished floor. The plumber is insulating under the floor with Covertec insulation. The question I have is it not inportant to insulate the 6" that is touching the foundation wall? I thought about wrapping the Covertec up the wall or putting 6 more inches of foam up the wall with a 2" bevel on top.
