Iowa | Here is the deal . I dont like tractor driving for planting ,spraying, combining,mowing hay etc. Really the only thing I dont mind is running the chopper(when i have help). when i am in the field it seems like a waste of time because nothing else gets done. Also we make our money in the barn and the shop.Not in the field. So I am thinking of renting out the ground and buying feed back or custom hiring everything done. One year I had a good employee and he did most of the tractor work and it worked out great. problem is around me no one wants to work. if they are decent they already have a job.I have had people from town beg me for a job and then not show up. so hiring employees are out.Any ideas.
