SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | I'm having some problems with a truck . Code comes up that indicates primary fuel pressure is low. I told the diesel shop working on it to put two guages on it one before the filters and one after and to use mechanical oil pressure guages as they are relatively cheap and I would drive it a while. I went to pick it up and pay the bill and there was a charge for two electronic fuel pressure guages to the tune of $270 apiece pluss$200 for installation. I asked why and they said the oil pressure guages wouldn't take it so they had to get the fuel pressure guages. I've used oil pressure guages for years to tell fuel pressure with no problems and they are not getting $740 for an hours work and two should have been $60 guages. |
