Subject: tractor

5 years ago we had sale to get rid of some older equipment, change our farm's direction, etc. My father had a TO 40 Massy Ferguson he insisted on putting up for sale. He started on this farm w/ that tractor in 1959, I raised my first crop with it in 1974, and I tried to talk him out of selling it.... sadly it sold, I followed where it went, through an equipment jocky, to a new owner who passed away this spring.
I pulled into a local Ag and Barn business friday afternoon for some sprayer parts, and the old 40 sat on the lot for sale, I told the owner of the business the history of the tractor, he sold it to me for just what he had into it. I drove it home and pulled up beside my 85 year old father...let's just say I did the right thing. Anyway I have the old 40 back, it belongs here, and I just wanted to tell my NAT friends the story, life is good and they're still good folks out there in the world. Thanks, Donny Rovenolt, owner of ROVENDALE Ag and Barn in Turbotville, PA.

By the way I raked about 10 acres of hay that evening and sat morning... just like having an old friend back...as I said; life is good.
Joe
