Subject: Coyote hunting dogs and landowner rights

Ainsworth, IA
Long story short, last weekend I was combineing corn and got a call from a friend of a friend. He said they tracked a coyote, shot it and it died right behind the barn at my house. Asked if he could retrieve it and said they would be in and out quickly. Was hard to hear him because of the machine and radio chatter, but he said something about the dogs going nuts. We have 2 130lb dogs that are kenneled outside when my wife isnt home so i assumed he was talking about them.

I assumed wrong, my father in law showed up as they were "retrieving" the coyote and said the hunting dogs were running around the property, chasing our outside cats, and harassing our dogs. Took them 45 minutes to catch the dogs and leave. I have already told them next time they set foot on my property it will be tresspass.

Was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this situation and what are the landowners rights?
