Mom made cinnamon rolls with raisins in them and then had a syrup kind of poured over them. I haven't had anything like it ever since mom passed. The syrup was a little like maple syrup off the grocery store shelf but we never had any bought syrup so it wasn't that. It must have had brown sugar, water, maybe some molasses. I just don't know.
It had to be a regional or Iowa thing, maybe from a church cookbook. Wish I could find it again.
