Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | ........... the past two weekends when mowing.
We've had enough rain that normal zero-turn driving leaves a lot of torn-up grass and sod. I've had to lay parts of the yard off in lands or do a three-point turn at the ends.
This whole fall seems strange, no frost yet and I think Oct. 12 is our average first frost......I'm ready (my beans need an attitude adjustment) ....it was in the eighties a couple of days last week.
I also usually enjoy the fall colors when harvesting but the trees still think it's summer, and my yard is growing like it's April.
It will probably stay this way until I wake up to snow and full-blown winter one morning. |
