South Dakota | So I run a Krause gladiator 16 row with a Montag single bin for P, K, and S right now and pull a tank behind for my N source and run dual product control separately. What I run into is not enough time in the fall to always get everything done and not every spring is there an opportunity to pull my shank machine due to ground conditions.
My real questions are is it foolish to move away from a shanker and into a warrior or a dawn and which one of those is superior? Also, are there really none of those coulter style machines around for sale or does a person really need to go new?
The way I look at it is I could still have the local coop pull their shank machine through anything going to corn and then either what they don’t get done or that is going to beans I could run the coulter machine across. I know there are people on here that have had both styles of machines and wondering if you really regretted moving away from one or the other.
