What would cause a mechanical fuel delivery system to sometimes dump too much fuel and blow some blue smoke? It only happens occasionally. Sometimes, but not always, when the tractor is at 1200 to 1600 rpm idle it blows A LOT of blue smoke, and it will make your eyes water. I first noticed it late one night when I was chopping stalks. Full idle doesn't seem to be as bad and under load doesn't seem to be a problem. Before someone tells me to change the fuel/air filters, I already checked the simple stuff, but don't let that keep you from posting simple solutions. I have not cracked the injectors yet because the problem seems to be intermittent.
